Effect of demineralization on pyrolysis characteristics of LPS coal based on its chemical structure

Abstract The critical issue in developing mature Oxy-Coal Combustion Steam System technology could be the reactivity of demineralized coal which, is closely related to its chemical structure. structures Liupanshui raw (LPS-R) and (LPS-D) were analyzed by FTIR solid-state 13 C-NMR. pyrolysis experiments carried out TG, kinetics was three iso-conversional methods. C-NMR results suggested that carbon structure LPS not altered greatly, while demineralization promoted maturity condensation degree aromatic ring, making more stable. oxygen-containing functional groups with low bond energy reduced, ratio high increased, decreasing reactivity. DTG curve-fitting revealed thermal weight loss mainly came from cleavage aliphatic covalent bonds. By analysis LPS-R LPS-D, apparent activation energies 76 ± 4 463 5 kJ/mol 84 2 758 12 kJ/mol, respectively, under different conversion rates. inhibited some extent, as for LPS-D increased acid treatment.
